Dahlia 'Sakura Fubuki'
Translating as cherry blossom snowstorm, Dahlia 'Sakura Fubuki' certainly lives up to its name; its mass of serrated pink petals evoking the same sense of elegant abundance as those precious few weeks of spring blossom. The sugary sweet colouring of Dahlia 'Sakura Fubuki's flowers works beautifully with other pinks and whites, and we particularly love seeing them jostling in a cottage garden-style border with roses, phlox, ammi, and cosmos. What could be better?
We recommend planting in groups of five or more for best visual impact, and, of course, to allow plenty of spares for the vase (trust us, you will be dying to enjoy Dahlia 'Sakura Fubuki' indoors as well as out!). Like all dahlias, rather wonderfully, the more you pick the more it flowers. Try to resist the urge to pick too early though, as, unlike most other flowers, dahlias don’t tend to continue opening once they’ve been cut.
