Dahlia 'Milena Fleur'

In a blend of coral pink and apricot, with gleaming, golden centres, the flowers of Dahlia 'Milena Fleur' (or Dahlia 'Milena F') bring a soft, tropical feel to the garden. This variety belongs to the waterlily class of dahlias, meaning its flowers are double with a distinctive, flattened sphere form. Measuring 10cm across these large, the full blooms of 'Milena Fleur' make particularly impressive cut flowers, and will last for 5-7 days in the vase. Plant in groups of five or more for real ‘wow’ factor.

The relatively compact size of Dahlia 'Milena Fleur' suits container growing. As with all dahlias used in this way, a regular feeding routine is the key to success. Add a granular, general feed into the compost when initially potting into the container, then a potassium-rich liquid feed (to boost flowering) once a week from July to September. Regular deadheading will also encourage Dahlia 'Milena F' to give lots of new blooms.
