Amaryllis 'Picotee'

Houseplants don’t come more stylish and glamorous than Hippeastrum 'Picotee'. This award-winning variety produces large, crisp white flowers finely edged in red, and blooms for weeks, even months throughout winter and spring. This is a highly sought after variety and we strongly recommend ordering early to avoid disappointment. Hippeastrum 'Picotee' is considered such a good plant, the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) have awarded it a coveted Award of Garden Merit.

Amaryllis 'Picotee' is ideal for providing that indoor floral hit at a time when cut flowers are in short supply. What’s more, it is spectacularly easy to grow! Pot bulbs in autumn for flowers 7-10 weeks later, using a tight-fitting pot (no more than around 1cm space between the bulb and the edge of the pot) filled with a well-draining, gritty mix. Make sure the top third of your bulb is above the surface of the compost (to avoid rotting of the growing point). Keep well-watered and apply a fortnightly liquid feed throughout the growing season. One Hippeastrum 'Picotee' in a pot is lovely; three is spectacular!
